In 1979, Lanver EX launched in Japan. Offered in 2 MCA Jet engine-powered 1.4L and 1.6L powered 80 hp 85 hp or 100 hp.Mitsubishi MCA-JET system is a replacement carburetor system. MCA stands for Clean Air Mitsubishi, Lancer meaning already passed emissions in Japan and the U.S.. Mitsubishi designed the new cylinder head so that the valve jet get an extra vortex air in the combustion chamber, which make more complete and efficient combustion.
